Spears Manufacturing in Sylmar California, a world leader in the manufacturing and distribution of plastic valves, fittings and pipe since 1969. Due to our companies dynamic growth we have an immediate opportunity for the right individual with our company as a Factory Field Sales Representative covering the territory of Utah and southern Idaho.
This is a career position with a national company that has over 24 plants and distribution centers throughout the country.

Some duties but not all will include:
Recommend products to customers, based on customer’s needs and interests.
Regularly contacts customers and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
Consult with clients after sales to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
Check stock levels and assist in reordering of merchandise as necessary.
Plan, assemble, and stock product displays in wholesale locations, or make recommendations regarding product displays, promotional programs, and advertising.
Provide customers with product samples and catalogs.
Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors products, prices and sales
Perform administrative duties such as preparing sales call reports, keeping sales records, providing month end and territory reports and filing expense account reports and timesheets.
Obtain credit information about prospective customers.
The Spears MFG. Factory Sales Representative will be responsible for managing the distribution channel in his assigned territory.
They will work with both distributors and end clients to ensure continued sales growth of Spears products and customer satisfaction.
They will be responsible for tracking industry developments in regard to new products and trends as well as competitor pricing and distributor strategies and personnel changes.
Candidate must have 5 years field sales experience or relevant Pipe/Valve/Fitting industry experience.
